Steve Baker has covered January 6 since the day it happened. He sat through the trials and kept reporting after most people stopped. This series is where he tells those stories, and we’re putting the first episodes together now.

Steve is a lifelong musician who did journalism on the side for more than twenty years. When COVID shut down live music, the reporting became his full-time work. He covered January 6 as a journalist and was prosecuted for it.
He spent the next four years reporting on how the government treated the January 6 defendants. In 2023 Blaze Media hired him as a staff investigative journalist. In April of this year he left to work independently so he could keep going.
