TRANSPARENCY

Read the books

We ask families to trust us with the worst moment of their lives, and donors to trust us with their money. Both deserve to see the paperwork.

This page exists because the people we serve have been promised things before by organizations with far more resources than us, and watched those promises evaporate. We are not asking anyone to take our word for anything. Everything we can publish is here.

Who we are not

People confuse us with other organizations that have similar names, and money intended for our families has ended up somewhere else because of it. So, plainly: Stand in the Gap Foundation is not affiliated with, related to, or a chapter of any other organization using a similar name — including SITG Ministries or any group using "Stand in the Gap" in its title.

We share no leadership, no board, no bank account, and no donations with any of them. If you intended to support this Foundation, check the EIN above against whatever you are donating to, and check the address. If you gave to the wrong organization by mistake, email us and we will help you sort it out.

HOW WE SPEND

How we pay for legal work

Most organizations will not tell you how they pay their lawyers. We would rather you know exactly, because the structure is the reason we can promise families they will never see a bill.

$750

FLAT, PER SEAL FILING

Under Project Seal, panel counsel are paid a flat seven hundred and fifty dollars per petition filed, regardless of hours. No hourly billing means no overruns and no surprises on either side.

01

FIRST IN, FIRST PAID

Invoices are logged by the date we receive them and paid in that order as funding allows. No case jumps the line, and no attorney is left guessing where they sit in the queue.

$0

TO THE FAMILY

No application fee, no retainer, no bill at the end regardless of outcome. Families are never charged for representation and never owe the Foundation money.

NOT YET PUBLISHED

Where each dollar goes

A program-versus-overhead breakdown belongs here, and we are not going to put up a number before the audited figures support it. It will be published alongside the Form 990 rather than in advance of it. If you want to ask about it in the meantime, email us and we will answer honestly about where we currently stand.
