A closed case is not a finished case. Three things follow these families afterward, and each one is a separate fight with someone on the other side working to keep things exactly as they are.
Your case is closed, but the docket is still public. Employers find it. Landlords find it. Licensing boards find it. Project Seal petitions the court to seal the records of clients whose cases never reached a final judgment — charged but never tried, convicted but never sentenced, or still on appeal when the case ended.
Check your eligibility →Fines, special assessments, and restitution — most often $500 or $2,000 — paid to the government by families who were later pardoned. Courts have begun ordering that money returned where the conviction was vacated. Project Refund will pursue those claims for every client entitled to one.
